Yolo County Fair
The Yolo County Fair is located in the city of Woodland. Yolo County’s rich soil is responsible for Woodland’s strong agricultural identity. Since the 1970’s Yolo County has been the home to pioneer organic farmers who grow crops for bay area restaurants and farmers markets. Yolo County is also an emerging wine region with many wineries to visit. The Heidrick Ag History Center is an interactive exhibit on the marvels of agriculture and commercial trucking. The Yolo Shortline, steam and diesel engines take you on a tour through rich farmlands and conservation preserves. August is when they host the Yolo County Fair which provides entertainment for all ages.
